Netflix has announced that Anna Kendrick is to direct the movie adaptation of Taylor Jenkins Reid’s novel, 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗛𝘂𝘀𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆𝗻 𝗛𝘂𝗴𝗼. The story centres on aging and reclusive Hollywood starlet Evelyn Hugo, who enlists unknown reporter Monique Grant to write her biography, which would chronicle her scandalous life during the golden age of Hollywood. But, through candid interviews, Evelyn begins to reveal the truth behind her seven marriages, divulging secrets she’s held on to all her life, and why she chose to tell her story to Monique in particular.
